The partnership between FMCSV and the Hematology Service of the Central Institute of Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP involves, among other aspects. the loan of the equipment that was part of the MCSV Lab and new equipment, in addition to the renovation of the Immunopathology, Tumor Biology and Cytogenetics laboratories, which together accounted for around 43 thousand exams in 2010.

On the other hand, the Hematology Service covers the costs of the remedial and preventive maintenance of the equipment and stores obsolete equipment in a safe place. One of the positive impacts of this partnership is that the equipment of FMCSV, which was previously only used for diagnosing Leukemia, began to be used on a greater scale, enabling the Hematology Service to speed up the exam process of patients from the Single Health System (SUS), as well as allowing it to collaborate in the diagnosis and research of other hematologic diseases.

The benefits of the partnership also extend to more complex measuring aspects, given that the renovation of the premises has led to a reevaluation of the existing processes, the adoption of new social-environmental policies for the proper discard of chemical inputs and the installation of protective equipment, such a fire-proof lockers for the storage of explosive material, among others.

Five new machines were acquired by FMCSV in 2010: two thermocycles, of which one is in Real Time, a Sequencer and a Fluorometer. Beyond that two others laboratories were integrated to the project : Hematology Laboratory and Coagulation Laboratory.
