INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
 
The Investment Committee is comprised of four members, of which two members are from the Board of Trustees and two are members invited based on their experience and technical expertise, and its role is to advise the Board of Trustees in decisions related to the Endowment Fund, ensuring its greater efficiency and effectiveness, through the following functions:
  • Recommend decisions related to the Endowment Fund and the Board of Trustees;
  • Contribute technical knowledge and expertise to the process of managing the Endowment Fund, ensuring its greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Proactively seek to protect assets, prompting and suggesting actions to the Board of Trustees in special situations.
It consists of the following members.
 
André Reginato
Electrical engineer from the Polytechnical School of USP with an MBA from the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He worked in the Private Equity department of CSFB/Garantia Bank, a group that manages an overall committed capital of over US$ 500 million. He participated in the implementation and follow-up of several operations that included innovative financial structures, such as, the implementation of tracking stock in Brazil. He is the director of the Study and VentureCorp Endeavor Foundation  since the beginning of its operations in Brazil in 2000 and Managing Partner of Dikaios.
 
Eduardo Vidigal Andrade Gonçalves
Earned a degree from the College of Economic Sciences. He worked in the commercial area of ​​Banco Pactual (prospecting and maintaining clients of the Investment Bank), was an Assistant of the Board (local and foreign fundraising) at Banco Lavra and Managing Director at Finasa Investment Bank (business development related underwriting, Mergers and Acquisitions). He is currently the director of União Vidigal Participações.
 
Guilherme Vidigal Andrade Gonçalves
Is a lawyer with a degree from the Catholic University (PUC) of São Paulo with an MBA from the IESE Business School (Spain). He worked at Banco Mercantil de São Paulo - Finasa in the areas of retail, international and credit and was also a member of its Board of Directors. He also worked at Andersen Legal and worked with holding company Souto Vidigal S.A. during its restructuring process. He is currently the director of UV Participações. He has also participated in the "Arte Despertar" Association since 2001 and is currently a member of its Audit Committee.
 
Helio Nogueira da Cruz
Earned an M.S. and a Ph.D. from the Economics and Administration College (FEA) of São Paulo University (USP) and Post-Doctorate degree from Yale University/USA. He is a Professor of Technology and Economic Development at FEA-USP, where he also teaches courses in Macroeconomics and Economics of Technology. He was Head of the Department of Economics, FEA/USP (1990-1992), is Coordinator of General Administration of USP, a member of the Board of Trustees of the SEADE Foundation and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Economic Research Institute Foundation (FIPE). He has participated in numerous national and international conferences, of which the most recent was related to Institutions of Higher Learning, University Autonomy and University Management, always presenting his own work. He has also taken part in a University Management Course organized by Harvard University and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
