We are a Brazilian family foundation dedicated to promoting early childhood development. We generate and disseminate knowledge to professionals who work with early childhood and also to managers who have a role in shaping public policies. We have Social Projects in five cities in the interior of São Paulo state and also in Cidade Ademar, a micro-region of São Paulo, the largest city in Latin America. Our Social Projects aim at improving the quality of services provided to pregnant women and children up to age six, through professional training and awareness and the encouragement of municipal governments for the adoption of projects for the promotion of early childhood development.
We also created in partnership with a development agency of the state government of São Paulo, a line of credit to fund research on processes and practices to improve early childhood care.
In the second half of 2011, we established in partnership with the University of São Paulo, the first multidisciplinary course targeted at early childhood development. The course is given on the premises of the nursing college but is open to all professionals interested in learning more about early childhood.
We promote an annual free event that brings together major national and international authorities on the topic of early childhood that discuss issues relevant to the work of the Foundation and to Brazilian society.
