The Parenting Award: Good Practices of Visitors in the Pandemic initiative was born from the possibility of recognizing, giving awareness to and inspiring managers and teams that work directly with the population, close to the most vulnerable families in our country. In the context of the pandemic caused by Covid-19, difficulties intensified and many home visiting programs needed to be adapted and even temporarily suspended. Meanwhile, visiting professionals created strategies and adapted safe solutions to continue their work to support families. These adaptations were fundamental for the home visiting programs to be able to move forward, despite the pandemic. In this scenario, the Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation and the Bernard van Leer Foundation joined together to hold the Parenting Award: Good Practices for Visitors in the Pandemic, with the objective of promoting the continuity and improvement of these professional practices in the monitoring of families. form a database of good practices, amplifying the reach of the solutions found. Thus, this publication aims to register, recognize and disseminate these adapted practices as part of an ecosystem with a positive impact on child development. In the award, 100 practices were selected and you can see it in the document below - ten highlighted in the item “Inspiring Practices” and the other 90 awarded practices grouped into categories in the section “What the visits in the pandemic told us”.
